Kurulu Thuda (Heirloom Red Rice)
This ancient grain, known as Kurulu Thuda in Sri Lanka, is a staple in the Ayurvedic diet. Its name, meaning “bird beak” in Sinhalese, refers to its delicate, beak-shaped grains. Hangimuttan (Heirloom Pearl Rice)

Cooking Instructions - Fragrant & Pearl Rice 
  1. Rinse and drain 1 cup of Fragrant Rice Or Pearl Rice.
  2. Add 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir, cover and reduce to low heat.
  5. Simmer 20 minutes until water is absorbed.
  6. Let stand covered for 5 minutes then fluff with a fork.
